Amanda Stone has been completely mesmerized by fashion and all its creative wonder from a young age. Actively styling herself for preschool, often sporting mildly outrageous outfits that only a 4-year old could conceive, her progression into the fashion industry some 18 years later comes as no surprise. After completing her BA in Media and Writing, English and Psychology, Amanda travelled, and spent time living in both Europe and the USA. With a keen, critical eye for colour and detail, Amanda is known for her appreciation of fashion as a form of art and part of life. She is proud to be back home in sunny South Africa, and a new member of the Africhic team.

Savera Kashmiri, originally from Pakistan, like most girls, secretly rummaged through her mother's closet, pairing shiny clip-ons with swanky stilettos. But it wasn’t until she moved to New York City that something clicked, sparkled, lit up like the city at night. This is when she found her inner fashionista. And now living in Nairobi, Kenya, there is a whole new closet of inspiration: the vibrant fabrics and funky jewelry from the Masai Market or from her favorite local designers. "It’s all about expressing where I live, about where I’ve been. So that means balancing that modern scarf with my traditional Pakistani garb, or foxing it out in that classical all-black New York number, or simply decorating my neck with African beads."
